Pulse Nursing Agency are proud to be working with one of our Research clients on a fantastic project based in Liverpool, Merseyside. Our client are running a project aimed at carrying out blood tests in the community, starting in April with an expected completion date of August 2023.
We are looking for Phlebotomists/HCA's with Phlebotomy experience to work as part of a project team of 20 healthcare professionals who will work together for the entire project length. The clinics will be a mixture of fixed and mobile sites with the location on the mobile sites changing every 4 weeks. Location details TBC.
Successful Phlebotomists/HCA's will be invited to spend a day on site before the site opens to gain greater familiarity of the location, undertake training on the provided Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and to complete set up in readiness for day one.
The role offers competitive pay rates of £18.00 per hour. With shifts available Monday-Friday (8:00am-19:30pm).
Working as a Phlebotomist/HCA on this project you will:
Be responsible for re-confirming participant details and obtaining their consent before commencement of appointments
Complete POCT cholesterol checks; height, weight and waist measurements; heart rate and blood pressure checks and record data findings on the system
Draw two blood samples, labelling and storing correctly
Check the welfare of the participants throughout their appointments, escalating as required
Offering signposting, advice and guidance to participants as relevant
Prepare boxes containing samples to be collected by the courier
To be successful in this role you should have:
A Certificate in Phlebotomy
Minimum of one year's active experience drawing blood.
Excellent patient care skills
Immediate holder of the Right to Work in the UK
