Business Intelligence Architect - BI / Reporting
Bring your extensive experience in platform architecture and administration to help grow one of the world’s fastest-growing social networks.
You'll join a team of analytics professionals working on exciting and innovative projects as well as shaping our day to day operations. The Reporting Analytics team offers the chance to collaborate with data scientists, analysts and database developers with opportunities to gain or enhance skills across a number of other BI tools like Python & Jupyter.
Key Accountabilities
Define and own the architecture of the BI platforms owned by the team (we use MicroStrategy mainly but we may have additional tools in our portfolio in the near future)
Plan and implement platform upgrades and hotfixes
Automate aspects of the SDLC and bring efficiencies with the Reporting Analytics team by reducing level of efforts on recurring tasks
Drive initiatives such as new visualisations, Web SDK, Python and R integration/adoption
Constantly monitor and evaluate computation costs and performance of our reporting solutions and identify opportunities of improvement across tools or platforms we use. Advise the team on best practices.
Partner with database development and analytics team to extend the capabilities of the platform
Act as a centre of governance and control on behalf of the company ensuring changes are made in accordance with industry best practices
Support evaluation of new BI tools to complement the current stack.
Experience we are looking for
Experience in platform administration of Microstrategy and/or other similar tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.)
Experience administering tools like DBT to manage the data model used for reporting solutions
Good SQL skills
Experience working on Unix environments
Experience using Exasol, Snowflake, MySQL or similar databases
Data Modelling experience would be preferred
Knowledge of SSO architecture
Some experience with REST APIs, Task API
HTML, CSS and Javascript -very desirable but not essential
Related certifications in Platform, System Administration, Architecture, SDK would be preferred
